Forgive me for I have sinned.
I doubted software from India could be as bad as you always hear ... I was proven wrong ... now I have to take the consequences ... an untested, Indian Web-API

    My uncle is always like "what would you want to work at company x for? They got skilled Indian programmers working on all their code"

    A) shows how much he knows
    B) I sure hope not for their sake

    as an SAP consultant I've got many contacts with Indian developers. Just like with European and American developers, they can be very talented or totally shit. I guess the ageold saying also applies to India: if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

    @Lukas strong words man.

    @Lukas absolutely agreed. I think the difference between American and Indian coders is that in the states people chose coding so they have the passion for learning and becoming better at it. In India it's more parental pressure to become either a doctor or an engineer. That'll give you a big pool of "developers" but not quality ones that know what they're doing.

    That being said I'm sure there more good Indian devs than the rest of the Western world.

    @xroad again strong words.

    @Lukas indeed you do. But sadly this is in most cases to go for Indian devs in the first place, to pay them a month with what others take in a day - it's always a "you get what you pay for"

    I use an Indian dev for a side project of mine. I vetted about 6 Devs which were utter garbage. This dev is pretty competent, and 10 an hour. The code he writes tho is pretty old school with URIs and weird angular styles
