I started reading the book "The clean coder" by Robert Martin and now I feel depressed.
So many of the things that he qualifies as unprofessional have I done :'(

We’ve all done at least one of them at some point. He’s not trying to shame you, he’s teaching you how to be professional. It’s not something that generally gets taught so many people fall into a lot of the ‘traps’ in his book, like agreeing to estimates when we are unsure and not feeling like we can say no.

@CrashOverride I think he purposefully tries to have you face it : you fucked up and you need change.

Honestly, seeing how things have been going down for me lately, I need it.

The reason they are in his books is because he's been just as guilty of them as you. To me it seems like he feels committing the sins and then realizing your mistake is a critical part of growing into a developer.

The real world is pretty fucked up. No matter how structured you want your code to be, you will always be provided with a large codebase disaster.
