@1989 my brother's son as well. When he turned 18, I've mixed a vinyl set with 1989 and 1990 music and burned it on a cd. Was my present for his birthday. Dj's didn't mix in that time, but fuck it 8)
I've put some nice salt n peppa, dee-lite (bootsy bass!), De la soul and funk megamixes in that set. Dance was decent in 1989. Unlike the Euro Dance crap that tortured me in the nineties 8)
