    @qbalsdon IE wow. Beautiful shit.

    @thesagya the best

    Using currency signs is confusing.

    I suggest to use ISO 4217 currency codes instead.

    var joke = EUR('#haha')

    Choose your preferred currency, then create a reference to $.

    But do you have € on your keyboard?

    The crypto folks must be using BTC for jquery.
  • 2
    @abhishekb I love this one
  • 15
    @py2js im a Turk, if someone said in turkey they use kebab/döner/camel/qoran, I'd find it funny. I don't think it's offensive
  • 1
    @highonsleep I think that was intentional to offend.
  • 28
    People need to stop being offended like little bitches with every fucking joke on the internet.

    And yes I'm offending both those people and little bitches.
  • 2
    let waste_bin = €('.bin');
    tea_time((tea, biscuit) =>{
    tea.consumeWith(bicuit, (waste) =>{
    waste_bin.discard(waste);
    });
    });
    ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
  • 1
    @zokazavevu or we can use โ‚น
  • 4
    In Cupertino they use ๐Ÿ’ฒ.
  • 2
    @highonsleep actually cow jokes are generally used to offend Northerns here. And it's religious issue. That's why many Indians will be offended.
  • 5
    jQuery.on('load', function(£){ alert('Br€xit') });
  • 3
    @xewl dude you got an unused £ situation going on there
  • 0
    @highonsleep Does it matter? Why would I include a library for an alert? (:
  • 8
    @py2js phuck religion. We're all animals.
  • 2
    @xewl can't argue on this. You are technically eight °<>°
  • 1
    @py2js @Alice ๐Ÿค๐Ÿคท‍โ™‚๏ธ
  • 2
    @Alice Some people in the northern region of India consider cow sacred. Holy cow literally. They may get offended by one of the comments in this thread.
  • 3
    @xewl amen to that brotha!
  • 10
    Jesus fuck, guys! Take it easy on being offended! One says 'you are eight' one says 'shut your fucking mouth'. Holy shit some of you can get quite easily offended. Don't take yourself so serious! Don't take any of this shit so serious! Calm your tits and enjoy the ride! โœŒ๐ŸปโœŒ๐ŸผโœŒ๐ŸฝโœŒ๐ŸพโœŒ๐Ÿฟ
  • 3
    @highonsleep I've taken it as a typo for right ;)
  • 0
    @N0LL also it appears to specify a variable in the past here with var instead of er #da-DK
  • 3
    @py2js Still, for the rest of the world a cow is a cow.

    You need to respect the fact that I like jokes about cows.

  • 8
    And also, if I don't like cows, I'm allowed to say fuck cows. If I find it stupid that cows are sacred, I'm allowed to say I find it stupid. Same with allah or Cthulhu whatever the fuck people believe these days. @py2js you have no right to tell people to shut their fucking mouths. If you find it offensive, you can report them but you can't put your hand on their mouths and say 'no nooo please don't say that' I respect people, but if some people believe in something I find stupid like religion or superiority of a race, I'll tell them that that's stupid and I'll make fun of it. Same goes to me, I'm a turk living in Germany and I love hearing shitty stereotypes about.my culture.because it's funny. So, before you start telling to shut their fucking mouths, first, go fuck yourself.
  • 4
    I hate people who tell other people what to think. Everyone's an ErdoฤŸan these days.
  • 6
    To those being offended I have to say the following.

    Proud people tend to get offended when that particular thing they are proud of is disrespected in their eyes. What these people tend to forget is that it is their pride and their eyes that lead to their feelings.

    Consider respect. What makes somebody deserve respect? Nothing, really. It's only when somebody nurtures your ego when you respect somebody. But they may be a terrible person! For example, if you love somebody very much you probably respect them a lot. But when they cheat on you behind your back, your respect for them instantly reduces the amount to a minimum. That your feeling. They are not a different person!

    Consider another question. Do a physician, CEO or president deserve more respect than a homeless person? Not at all! Probably a doctor can save your life, but until you form some kind of (professional) relationship, you are equal.

    Never forget that most people probably don't like you as much as you like yourself!

    @eeee this comment is way more mature than mine ๐Ÿ˜ถ
  • 1
    @highonsleep yep, yours also is at least a little provoking. Let's just stay nice to each other, we're on devRant! Nobody needs to tell anybody anything. Just keep calm and rant on.

    If you want to swear, swear at JavaScript or something... *shots fired*
  • 3
    @eeee you can't swear on anything these days.. I was just swearing at IE and some people defended IE just for the sake of being different and anti.. in a different thread I saw them making fun of IE. I swear if I said anything bad about Papyrus or Comic Sans font, some people would jump on me. There are always someone getting offended by something that's irrelevant to them. I'm not talking about race or skin color or a physical feature which is a super cool and unchangeable thing. But as soon as I say anything bad about let's say, how edge supports almost nothing new in css.. It's a hell on loose.
  • 4
    By the way fuck IE. It's old and it doesn't support anything new and it's a piece of shit. And edge isn't any better. I encounter daily CSS bugs on edge which is even supported by IE11
  • 0
    Hehe, I forgot this was about IE, which is even worse than JS. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    @eeee ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ˜ฎ oh no you didn't!!!! ๐Ÿ˜„
  • 8
    I am from India and I am a Hindu(the group of people who consider cows sacred) and I am not at all offended. Making fun of stereotypes is fine unless you dont form opinions and judge people on the basis of those stereotypes. Exactly like IE is a fucking piece of shit but people using IE need not be.

    Getting offended is easy. Breaking stereotypes and bringing the truth out, not everyone's cup of tea.

    Replying to OP

    In India we use ๅ instead of $.

    @bitsnpieces ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„

    Pft, I don't even think € is an ASCII character
  • 0
    @py2js that post refers to most important in a country.
    And as far India, cows are important.

    If you feel something wrong just report it offensive.
  • 0
    @vikaskr oh. I am sorry on that.

    I am currently working in India, and I see lots people killing other people in the name of Cows. Just watch the news. Sure Indian currency after that.

    Imagine creating a jQuery plugin for replace '$' depending country/currency, just for fun.

    Maybe we can ¯\_(ใƒ„)_/¯
  • 2
    In Israel, we use โ‚ช instead of $
    var joke = โ‚ช('#haha')

    Oh boi, this rant is going straight to 500. I need me some devrant ducky ducky!

    The first 2 comments are gold ๐Ÿ˜‚

    var ๐Ÿ’ฉ = $;
    ๐Ÿ’ฉ('#container').text('So much win!');

    In Norway we use kr

    kr(“h1”)
  • 3
    @creator you monster! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  • 1
    @highonsleep Hast du noch gehackt? Ich mag etwas.
  • 3
    var ๐Ÿฎ = $;
    $ = undefined;
    ๐Ÿฎ('#container').text('I am a Hindu Indian, so I can make jokes on cows. Eat \(cow\) shit bitches \(it's anyway considered to be good for health ๐Ÿ˜\).');

    /* Stop being offended for every little thing. Cows are stupid. Worshipping cow is even more stupid. In fact most religions are stupid. If someone makes joke about that, you should not be offended, because you chose this path. Carry it with you. Racist jokes are idiotic(unless you're into dark humour), because a long bloody history is associated with that. Cow jokes are hilarious. Accept the reality of your country, instead of defending it. Don't be a keyboard warrior here. We have enough violence on this planet already. If you wanna fight, fight for social causes. Care about people not cows.
    PS: I am gonna write this comment into my code someday for future generation of coders to find ๐Ÿ˜

    This is my next project. EuroQuery

    @creator I am not into the "cows are sacred" BS myself, But the religious angle aside, it has a noble purpose, and that's to respect animals. I've seen videos on the net that show people treating animals as utter shit in slaughterhouses, veganists releasing farm animals out in the wild only for them to get killed by dogs and wolves. It's disgusting. If believing that any animal is a child of God as much as we are helps reduce that atrocity, then I support it. I don't have to practice or believe in it, but I just support it.

    In Mexico we don't use $, the government already took that :(
