Well Oracle is just being a bitch by being envious of android. Who the fuck cares if Android is running Java lol they made their own jvm. So then oracle should sue icedtea too based on this lol

Google kinda had this coming though, I mean, they basically lifted parts of it verbatim, and in any definition that’s a copyright violation.

I think why Google lost was because they copied some implementation parts of Java API (not structure, but implementation) AND then they changed the license of Android source code, which Java code license didn't allow. Java code license says if you take parts of the code you have to use the same license for you code too.

I always got a kick out of the fact that both companies had headquarters at the same address in Austin. Twin buildings facing each other 😅...
