The time my sister dropped the external HDD with every single picture of our family between 2000-2009.
I was 16 at the time, and it made me paranoid like I am today.

Three offsites backups, and three local ones currently and always trying to do expand.

Nothing, my family did not bother.

Paranoid, a bit! But hey, who cares, it allows you to sleep well let night knowing your data is relatively safe and recoverable! I've 2 off-site and 1 local backup!

This is excessive to say the least.

I feel that keeping up with the backups and ensuring every storage mechanism has the most recent update is a pain.

I keep my project backups on Google drive , and usually have a copy in my downloads.

I trust Google enough to be satisfied with this.

Everything is automated, and I would not trust Google with TB of data from my private life.

    For storage?

@Linux for data availability in case of HDD failure. It was a joke, please don't take it seriously.
