All of the USB ports on my PC have suddenly stopped working...

And how am I supposed to fix this exactly given I no can no longer use a keyboard or mouse...?

Brilliant.

Clear bios. In some bioses you have a settings for disabling usb's. In windows you need to disable [windows can disable this device to save power] thingy. You can test it in simple manner: check if your mouse lights up or phone charges. In this way you will determine if windows is doing it. Use ps/2 keyboard to change stuff but watch out ps/2 IS NOT HOT SWAPPABLE you need to turn off your pc to plug it in or out.

Remember to unplug all unnessesary ubs's.

I did all the research because i had the same problem. In my case motherboard broke and even ps2 is not working anymore.

Bios -> emulate ps/2 devices over usb

Lifesaver if your bios supports this
