Most are emulators... Filter most out... And I believe you can install more later if you need it (it has been a long long time since I developed for Android....)

Customize the installation. And download only the following.
android SDK tools
android SDK platform-tools
build-tools (latest version),
Latest android API.
From Extras: Android Support Repository, Android Support Library, Google Play Services, Google Repository, Android Auto API Simulators, Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator(HAXM installer) if you are on windows.
Everything else is just emulator crap.
Physical device always beat the emulator.
Also a friendly advice if you ARE going to use emulator. Don't use the one Android provides. Try using Genymotion. -
Pff, watch this:
Vivado from Xilinx has ~50GB i believe.
I dont even know what is in those 50 big g's, probably some hidden linux distro images too, who knows...
