This was what I saw on my first day at my job. I thought I was gonna get fired on my first day.

    Nah. You tried sudo and didn't have permission. Reporting is lost in some log or mail, which no one probably looks at.

    If they're really anal about permissions, they may ask you why did you wanna sudo and what you wanted to do with the permission.

    When we see that in our log files we have security escort the individual to Human Resources and fire them immediately as well as take legal action against them for attempted hacking. Yeah if you do that here you’re fucked.
