Look at this kitty and tell me to my face that @Lensflare isn't a hard blooded monster. This kitten just got raped.
-
@Lensflare you're sick dude. Why do you rape kittens? Why do you use spaces at all?
-
shift-tab deletes the amount of spaces set in tab width setting. People are using tab key as normal, but just have settings for spaces.
Different languages have different preferences. Different projects have different preferences.
Pretty sure many are tab people, but are secretly space curious.
The real battle is spabs vs taces. -
I think only people with tiny dicks could imagine anally raping a kitten.

Why do you start a new rant again?
I destroyed your stupid arguments in the other rant already and have no interest in repeating myself, fuckwaffle.
https://devrant.com/rants/14145292/... -
Btw I‘m not arguing for tabs nor spaces, I just showed how dumb and self contradictory you are with your pathetic arguments.
-
I'm team tabs but come on, pressing backspace 4 times and kittens are your best arguments? We are going to lose this war for sure :D
-
What we need is a new IDE that only allows tabs for indentation. It should be called OnlyTabs.
-
@Demolishun I think we should build a giant fire and feed the spacers to it.
God will recognize his own -
@Lensflare "self contradictory"
lmao, you said tabulation and identation were different things. Wikipedia begs to differ
"The word tab derives from the word tabulate, which means "to arrange data in a tabular, or table, form." When a person wanted to type a table (of numbers or text) on a typewriter, there was a lot of time-consuming and repetitive use of the space bar and backspace key. To simplify this, a horizontal bar was placed in the mechanism called the tabulator rack. Pressing the tab key would advance the carriage to the next tabulator stop. The original tabulator stops were adjustable clips that could be arranged by the user on the tabulator rack. Fredric Hillard filed a patent application for such a mechanism in 1900.[3]
The tab mechanism came into its own as a rapid and consistent way of uniformly IDENTING (!!!!!) the first line of each paragraph."

@Lensflare So why on earth would you not use a mechanism that existed for more than a century, instead relying on your fancy retarded javaist IDE to solve a problem that already was solved by our grand grand parent.
-
@Lensflare in fact, I'd go as far as saying code is a subset of "table", defined (by wikipedia) as "A table is an arrangement of information or data, typically in rows and columns, or possibly in a more complex structure.".
We do have rows and columns in code. Punchcards are table and so are computer programs. -
But of course it comes from the fact your corponazi ass never truely got the magic of programming. It's just a way to pay the billz for you. Beotian

@Lensflare "Btw who keeps upvoting this annoying piece of shit?"
People just like cool kids like me better than you nerdy ass. You probably got shoved into the toilet bowl a few time by your multiple bullies. -
@Lensflare
"Btw who keeps upvoting this annoying piece of shit?"
Its gotta be @retoor, lol
Thinking of upvoting to prolong the war. -
@antigermanist can you just delete yourself again and spawn a few clones like antispacespace and antispacer?
I know you wanna do it. -
@Demolishun ostream doesn‘t care about upvotes. He is trolling no matter what. Upvoting doesn‘t help to maintain the war. It just makes it look like there are actually some people who agree with him.

kiki368903dno one hits spacebar four times. everyone is hitting the tab button anyway
I use tabs because their width can be customized in my text editor settings. so three people, being used to two, three and four spaces wide intentation respectively can work on one codebase while all having it their way. why force the two to adapt to the third’s preference when you can have all three satisfied? less friction means better performance, and that means more money. tabs are better for the economy.
if you use spaces, even if you hold big vote where the indentation width in spaces will be decided, there will be people you forgot to ask — your future engineers you’re yet to hire.
use tabs.
So let's settle the TAB vs SPACE debate once and for all. Loser have to leave town at down covered with feathers and tar.
From the era of typewritter, we inherited a key to bring the carriage to a specific column, aka INDENT. It's the tab key. Space key are there to separate WORDS.
Whoever use SPACE for tabulation/indentation is a fucking idiot. Just imagine this bafoon having to set his fancy jetbrainz IDE to do something that typewritters can do for 150 years, and then having to press backspace 4 time like a parkinsonian retard.
They are dangerous people who are probably anally raping cute kittenz as we speak.
