    Atom is like a snail. Super slow.
    Use VS Code.

    @xewl you work for twitter??? Not bad bro. :)

    @sigfried but VS code is made by Microsoft :/ use Emacs ;)

    @zacg no offense but I don't give a fuck about who makes it. If it works like I want, then it's good. 😂

    And VS Code is by far the best free editor I have ever seen.

    @c3ypt1c There's leaked ST3 license keys to TwitterInc most od them invalidated though

    You can literally find a sublime license online for free if you're that cheap

    Not gonna lie man, VS Code continues to amaze me. How can a text editor be this good is beyond me. It replaced Emacs and as my main gui based editor and it pains me to work with any other text editor

    Visual studio code is the best text editor imo

    But VS Code tho

    Is VS Code really that good?
    I've never even thought about using it.
    What's so good about it?

    @Rixx it's a lot like atom but harder to break with the new extensions and faster to startup. It lacks a few fine grained customizations you'd have with atom, but it's much more stable.

    @lucaspar
    That's a pretty clear advantage, I guess.
    I might try it tonight, then!
    Thanks :)

    With all the hate for atom I have to say it works perfect for me. It’s not slow on my Mac 💻 . And the amount of custom themes and packages you can’t beat atom.

    @c3ypt1c No, and that would be a ++ for the easy part.

    @theMaintainer Uh, more like all of them. But ofcourse you can block the polling, and disable the update checks in user config...

    @xewl still, ++ for buying sublime text :)

    @c3ypt1c But.. but.. hahaha nvm xD

    @xewl :O is this a cracked licence?
  • 1
    @c3ypt1c This one's invalidated since the new update, even in the version stated above, by ST, but... well yeah, you can force it to work xD

    $80 dollars, what the fuck?

    Give VSCode a shot, the only thing that I would recommend labeled Microsoft.
