So am I the only one here who is still saving up to buy the latest 15 inches macbook pro despite of all those cons?

How I wish dell xps can run Mac OS X. Meh 😩

Hhmm or should I buy dell xps and just install Ubuntu?

    @sigfried @dontPanic alright guys will review again the Dell XPS. I hate the MBP touch bar and the butterfly keyboard. What I only like about it is the OS X. 😤

    @Devnergy if you like OSX just get the XPS install Linux on it, install VirtualBox, and install hackintosh. Same thing and works better

    @sigfried In what way does a hackintosh inside a VM work better than an actual OSX running on the iron?

    As for OP.. I also vote for XPS+Linux. I'm running XPS13 (w/ SKL) + LinuxMint and I'm happy af

    @netikras the specs of the XPS are generally better. I mean if you configure it properly that it probably runs better on the XPS than on actual Mac

    @mrtn not to mention how painful it is, if you have to clean that keyboard..
    Ugh, it's a guaranteed void of almost any waranty.. :p

    ++ for the XPS.

    Take the XPS. If your familiar with Linux try an arch based distro

    Or you know, build a hackintosh. I use Mac OS in virtual box. You can even go for that if you want.

    @deeploop you can just google it, it’s not that hard to get it running

    My MacBook runs Windows 10 buttery smooth. You no longer need MacOS on it (you can format the SSD) and there isn't any need for bootcamp.

    Isn't MacOS abandonware at this point? I played around High Sierra a few months ago, felt like I was using a computer from 10 years ago..

    As much as I love mac, go for the xps and chuck on arch or Ubuntu, will fly

    I just dropped the cash on one when my 2014 model broke while visiting clients. It’s meh. The keyboard feels like your tapping on your desk. The new touchbar at the top is lame I just set it to default keys. The Fingerprint ID is retarded because you can’t use it to type in your SU credentials so you end up constantly typing your password anyways.

    However it sure beats that surface book 2 I bought that had the infamous flicker gate problem. Thank god Best Buy has a open box return policy.
