retoor845214dFor a very short while I worked for a software company looking like that. Full of students doing the arbeit for free. I couldn't stand it, especially since I was decently paid myself. The injustice. But the boss noticed me not being enthusiast as expected just asked me to leave at certain moment. They did mass production webshops. I programmed the base shop / plugins itself and all students did styling and such / other customers wishes.
The company had biza in the name, because their mass production would make them so rich, the they would buy a house on Ibiza. It was a shared thought and people were dreaming about that. But for me, it was really clear that the story was true but only one person will go to Ibiza. -
@retoor see if you pay people too much they get lazy.
If I was a boss, I would make it illegal to hire somebody above the age of 7. After that they're spoilt. -
kiki373202dBut the quality isn’t over the top there is it
If you really want over the top quality, you find an American/European/Japanese dude who runs his own custom shop and does it for the sake of it as his hobby on his own CNC machine in his garage. The concepts of product-market fit, economy of scale and marketing in general should be alien to him.
A good example is The New Model F keyboard shop.
Life pro-tip:
Before buying something, always make sure it's made by kid-slaves in a sweatshop. They have very tiny fingers, which means the quality will be over the top, and then the slavery part makes them very dedicated.
