freeCodeCamp is great for beginning your web learning.
Coursera and eDX has several awesome CS courses, and Apple's iTunes U has a plethora of great vids as well. -
@lun0 Of course the certificate is worth something.
If you aren't a certified programmer, you're coding illegally. The EU will sentence you to work in a 30-day jQuery bootcamp and fine you 4% of your annual revenue if they find out. -
