I haven't tried developing any Android project in a while but once I did, holy effff Android Studio is soooooo frustrating! Even on a 7th gen i7 (granted U version) 16 GB of RAM laptop it's slow AF. But I heard a lot of people saying that it's not bad and works well even on 6 GB of RAM. What's your setup for a good experience developing with Android Studio?

I've never really had an issue with it... Old i3 with 4 gigs of RAM.

    Isn't 7th gen i7 U-version just a dual core?

Did you run an emulator or did you test the app on your phone?

@electrineer yes it's the dual core version. I ran apps on my phone, I don't think it'll handle an emulator.

IntelliJ Ultimate (granted it's both proprietary and paid) with android module. Works amazing on ~1GB RAM usage and laptop's i5-8250U and my desktop's A10-7800
