being intern they might not know less. ive worked jobs where i was the new guy, others had been there for 20 years and i knew more than they did. cant judge knowlege by seniority

Nexion12669y@itsmill3rtime right but the things he is claiming are just plain incorrect. It's clear he is talking out of his ass -
Nexion12669y@azous I did. Told him why he was wrong and he still tried to talk around it. Just one of those "I'm never wrong" types -
When they are talking they cannot learn. Do them a favor - if they are talking more than you there is a problem. Have them fix that. Listening is a lost skill with too many of people.

Syro659yI was an intern along with another guy at my current company. I would always ask questions about the code and practice and felt I was being a real burden on my mentor. Felt really bad about it, too, but I wanted to make sure I understand. The other intern always 'understand'.
By the time the company let the other intern go, my mentor and I became buddies. He told me that my constant questions was a good thing even for him because it helped him learn his material more in depth when he had to teach it to me.
We have a couple of interns since but they're doing the same thing the other one did. Not sure why they have to act like they know everything and/or able to pick up new material quickly. They strive to be prodigy when no one expects them to. Is it personality or influence of the work environment? -
nabil6131159y@Syro agreed with your point. Currently im on my internship. I do ask a lot regarding the task i get. I do feel like a burden to my mentor because he still got his other job responsibilities like supporting client.
