I today have seen lovers'name carved into a tree. I don't think it's cute. I just think it's strange how many people take knives on a date

You should consider a sword.. I mean, who said chivalry is dead, am I right?

A knife has multiple great purposes on dates!
    A) you can carve your names into a tree when everything turns out great.
    B) you can defend yourself if your partner turns out to be a rapist
    C) you can stab your date if they turn out to be a part of a group of people that you are completely intolerant to and perform a hate crime so you can later say that you were surprised, disgusted and the shock moment did you do this, so none of the cool kids will ever bully you for having sex with someone they wouldn't tolerate. And all this -after- having sex with them, without fearing jail, if you live in the US.

See, plenty reasons to carry a knife with you on a date.

@theKarlisK ah ah. You are right, probably a sword it's a best option.

It shows real commitment to burn your lovers name into a tree with a flame thrower.

I usually bring girls to a date. Sometimes guys. How do you have small talk with a knife?

@sharktits I wish I could ++ that at least ten times.

As a female, I carry one or two knives with me wherever I go. One on my person (like my boot or pocket) and one in my purse. Even on dates ;)

I carry one always, I've considered carrying two in case I get stuck in a bad position or get one taken. Also, hopefully concealed carry at some point. I'd bring that on a date 🤷‍♀️

Can you use guns in non violent way outside with permit? My guess would be no, but nothing can suprise me anymore

@Kulijana you can at a shooting range and you can hunt (separate license afaik). You can probably unload it and show your date too, some people might flip out but I don't see a reason for it to be illegal in itself.

@Kulijana and my friend says as a pencil holder.

Right, thats what I figured. Guess taking your date out for a walk in the park for some .50 cal machinegun spraying together wouldnt be reasonable. Although it could help the relationship. Nothing more romantic than seeing your girl hold the bullet line(i hope i translated that good enough) in a proper position while you unleash pure force at the nearby objects.

@Kulijana Yeah, I also hear robbing banks and gas stations is good team building. The police might also appreciate the chance out of the office, and it'd be a cool face reveal for devRant. All things considered, it's a good thing to do on a date.
