I am angry. Do you know why? It's a rhetorical question, because you don't know why I am angry, which is why I'm going to tell you why I'm so. I Followed my friend, " Jane Doe" ( you don't need to know her actual name) to this store in my town. Then these 14-15 years old girls came up to me, and started asking me about my braces. "Where'd you get it?
" How much did it cost ?"
I get these questions like almost every single, and it's annoying. 😒
This one question got me angry. "What 'if' her braces are fake?" A girl said whispering to her friend.
Fake??? My braces are realer than you could ever be, jealous bitch. I said that in my mind, I don't have the guts to say it out loud, besides these girls look like they could tear me to pieces, and I wanted no conflict. I walked away as soon as my friend got her stuffs from the store.
My friend couldn't help but to tease me that I'm a doormat. I guess she's right. 🤔☹😤😟😖

Your username does not add up.
    Pls change to doormat.

I'm not a doormat on social media. I'm a doormat out in the real world. I would never change my username to "doormat" though. Perhaps to something cooler, like what I have now. 🤥@D--M

@Dummybugger "Look at mister fancy pants, here, knowing all the people and stuff!"

@sharktits Pretty sure it depends from country to country, but it's like you described here too

(If you want to know why I'm angry, it's because I just got woken up by my UPS beeping after a power outage in the middle of the night.)

@sharktits Exactly... everyone I know ow with braces hated them with a passion.

I live in the Caribbean. People here thinks it's "high class" especially, the girls. If they are jealous, they'll say it's fake and whatnot. I'm getting tired of it.@Dummybugger

    It's considered cool here.@sharktits

Thats so weird lol, why would a medical procedure be cool

That's what I'm saying. Just because I've got braces, they assume I'm this rich person who has "class". But, I'm not. I am the total opposite.@sharktits

Wow braces vary a lot more with culture than I thought.
We're talking about mouth braces right?
Here in the UK they're kind of something a lot of people go though at around the same age and no one thinks about it too much.
Also I hope you feel better @Jilano!

@sharktits hmmm this may be because getting braces here is free if you're under 18 and I'm guessing that's not the case in other places?

Things like this basically lead me to have few friends and fewer people in general that I know and that I'm close to.

I think there's so much wrong with society and how some people are brought up that in many situations the best position to be in is not in that situation.

So maybe you do need to toughen up a bit, but it's definitely not only your fault that you might feel like a doormat.
