    Did really no one notice that this is running on a Mac?
  • 1
    I feel a light tingling sensation 🤔

    Windows Updates Yay!

    Good, because macOS can be a pain in the ass.

    Confused

    @theKarlisK
    Windows can be installed on a Mac from years so it's not a surprise.
  • 1
    @osx94 I know that, same way MacOS X can be run within a VM... it's been like so since they started releasing PCs with Intel CPUs.
  • 1
    @theKarlisK
    So why shoukd we notice it if it's normal ? 🤔

    Stop!
    Hammertime.

    "Oh no... not again!!"
  • 1
    What’s the point of this rant? I had windows running on my Mac ten years ago.

    It’s literally built in functionality.
  • 1
    For fucks sake, I'm not showing off that I know how to run Bootcamp Assistant. It's just supposed to get the windows haters going.
  • 1
    Having work as costumer consultant for Apple, I can safely say this is more common than expected
  • 1
    @theKarlisK did anybody really care? Windows is windows, a Mac is a Mac.
    Meh.
  • 2
    @Hastouki
    Nice try but too easy.
    Next time try with a bsod 😉
  • 2
    @oudalally no one did, it was however the only thing that I noticed about the undescribed posted rant with no context.
  • 2
    @Hastouki ah. You’re a troll.

    I see.
  • 1
    @SSDD Yeah such a troll, how dare I show the windows setup on my MacBook. I apologize to all the people I have triggered, I shall lash myself 15 times.

    Everyone on here is a Linux fanboy (as am I), hence why I wrote "How does this make you feel?". Are you seriously that butthurt over it??
  • 1
    @Hastouki ....huh?

    I think the point is that nobody really gives a shit.... windows is installed on a MacBook.

    Ok - We feel like you installed windows on a MacBook.

    Windows actually runs pretty well on MacBooks, mainly because the hardware in most MacBooks is pretty good.

    Linux runs pretty well on them too.

    What's your point? I wouldn't lash yourself over it though, I can't imagine that's very pleasant. If that's what you're into then fair enough, but it might be uncomfortable and possibly make you unhappy.
  • 1
    @oudalally you realize most people here reacted exactly how I expected? I think you're the one missing the point.
  • 0
    @Hastouki Really? You expected apathy?
  • 1
    @oudalally I see you're still confused and wilfully ignorant. I think we're done here.
  • 0
    @Hastouki And how does that make you feel?

    FYI, I'm not sure how you expected people to react, but from a quick count, it seemed like most people weren't really butthurt by it, so you must have expected apathy.

    But yes, I am being wilfully ignorant - it's Friday after all!
  • 2
    @Hastouki sorry but you said

    “It’s just supposed to get the windows haters going”

    So you posted something with the deliberate intent to annoy people. That’s a troll.
  • 2
    @SSDD It does seem that way, doesn't it.

    And a quick count of responses does suggest most people are apathetic....

    But then I'm confused and wilfully ignorant.... :)

    @SSDD "So you posted something with the deliberate intent to annoy people. That’s a troll" -

    Troll is also a middle English word for a nice walk in a lovely area, i.e., We trolled through the beautiful countryside.

    It can also mean to sing a happy tune, i.e., We trolled through the beautiful countryside, trolling a happy tune.

    It can also mean to systematically search an area for something, i.e. We trolled through the beautiful countryside, trolling a happy tune as we trolled the field for the lost sword of the Troll King.

    Of course the final use of the word troll in that last example was the under-bridge dweller known for eating the bones of Christians.

    Knowledge is power!!!!!

    @oudalally you're just having a hard time understanding. My butthurt comment wasn't at everybody, it was clearly a response to @SSDD. Everyone else's response was basically "oh no, Windows". Which is what I expected. Only you two (@SSDD) overreacted and have now wasted more of my time than I should be spending responding to you.
  • 0
    @Hastouki So, you expected most people not to care? Inn which case, fair enough. Most people didn't.

    I think it's a little odd though - you post something which you stated was to get the windows haters going, but expected most people not to care, which defeats the purpose of trying to be antagonistic in the first place.

    Then, when people respond (and I'm clearly trolling here....), rather than not respond, you have risen to it and are now annoyed at me.

    Oh, fyi, I'm not a Linux fanboy at all.... and I'm actually understanding perfectly.... but I'm wilfully ignorant.....

    How does it make you feel? ;)

    @oudalally Not really annoyed, just confused why I have to defend my photo. I never even said I did it to annoy people, @SSDD did. Was looking to get some funny anti windows responses going, which they mostly were.

    It would be the same as me posting a bad code snippet or something else that's "off-putting". There's an anti windows trend on here, and I posted a photo of the windows 10 installer finishing on my MacBook, which I happen to need.

    That's all. You're really digging far too much into it, it's pretty weird.
  • 0
    @Hastouki It's not weird, I'm trolling because it's Friday, I've had a long week, I'm pretty tired and want to stop working, and I'm waiting for stuff to install and download.

    I still maintain that most people weren't actually that bothered by it though, it's not like they were screaming and shouting about running windows on a mac, most really weren't that bothered.

    But you did actually say you posted it to get the windows haters going.... but then I'm wilfully ignorant.....
  • 0
    @oudalally Maybe "windows haters" was too much? How about we say "get the windows jokes going". There, that should make it perfectly easy for you to understand.

    And yeah, it's kinda weird. "Friday trolling" isn't usually paragraphs and paragraphs of nonsense.
  • 0
    @Hastouki I did actually understand entirely, but I think that posting something to provoke a reaction when expecting an apathetic response then being irritated when people point out that it's not the most sensible response is a little redundant really.

    And are you telling me there's a right and a wrong way to troll? I'm pretty certain that getting this reaction from you (which is EXACTLY my intention) suggests I'm doing it right, but I'm happy to be educated!

    *puts on the learning hat and info-jacket*
  • 0
    @oudalally ok, yes. Bye.
  • 1
    @Hastouki Does this mean I don't need my info-jacket?
  • 0
    @oudalally I think I want an info-jacket
  • 0
    @Hastouki @oudalally

    That escalated quickly.
  • 0
    @Hastouki how would that make you feel?

    Actually, you did just remind me that I need to find a particular jacket as we will need it tomorrow :)
