Scrum Master? More like Scum Master.. The nutjob sends a calendar invite for daily stand up for 30 minutes which extends to 50 minutes.. 50 minutes for a team of 6 people ? Fuck off.

I deal with this exact same thing. They hired some outside “senior” who schedules 30 minutes for our team of 5 and somehow drags it all the way to an hour.

I once had a good scrum master. We had a soft ball and we passed it over one by one.

From the moment you owned the ball during the standup you had 5 minutes to explain everything.

I used to deal with this exact same bullshit. I say "used to" because the company doesn't exist anymore! SMH

Our Scrum Master is a developer of our team. That's so great. He knows we don't need 30 min daily scrum or shit like that. Our planningmeetings are short and on point and our retro meetings are at most one hour. Having a developer as scrum master might be the best thing ever.
