If Microsoft/Apple develops a Linux distro how many of you will like to use it?

I think it depends more on the distro itself...

Apple already makes a Unix distribution: OSX

Microsoft has been migrating Windows in that direction veeeeery slowly. (NT was designed by a Unix guy, there have been POSIX layers for earlier NT versions, now we get an optional embedded Ubuntu shell, etc.)

So, Apple users are using a similar system already, and Windows users need another 20 years or so and they will be doing the same (I think.)

@powerfulparadox I was talking about open source part of it :/

@ZapdoSSS Unlikely. Neither company understands the open source business model well enough (though parts of Microsoft seem to be trying to learn).

As for your original question, I wouldn't have a problem with it if the distro met my standards.
