I was just writing a rant about my comments that did have influence on the code... Had to remove the comments to make it work, adding it back in broke it again...

Maybe not on earth, but if you look at the whole universe we are nothing more than comments.
Sure, we might give some extra information, but we don't actually affect the program. With the program being the eternal perseverance of the universe.
