Every Morning I wake up with a subtle headache. It’s not as bad as with a hangover but still like a dehydration headache. I drink like 3 - 4 Liters of Water per day though so it can’t be that.

Any ideas on how to fix this? It makes getting up just even harder than it already is..

    Low blood pressure?

@devTea That was never the case but I haven’t measured it in like a year or so, I’ll give it a shot! Didn’t know that that could be connected

@theKarlisK I said it’s NOT as bad as a hangover

I was thinking maybe install a sleep app to track how restful your sleep is and records any noises? I think there are a lot of great ones now that can graph stats even down to what time to go to sleep and for how long to get your most restful sleep along with much more.

I know someone who snored, not necessarily loudly, but in such a way that it impacted how much oxygen they got while sleeping. Apparently it's pretty common and treatable. There's also grinding teeth or jaw clenched while sleeping (stress) or just not sleeping well (more exercise or diet change?) but at least trying to track your sleep will either help you find out the cause or check sleep problems off the possibilities.

Just my thoughts anyway. I was also going to say blue light removing glasses though that helped me having headaches before going to sleep more... But I've found out some interesting stuff with my sleep apps advice module based on all the data it collects.

if it's happening for long time, my recommendation would be see a doctor.

oh, and make sure to have enough fresh air! open all windows every evening when it's a little bit colder outside than during the day. such headache can definitely be caused by an O2 deficit

@L33tCh I do have SleepCycle installed and have been using it for years! It tells me I have like 70% sleep quality but it never really explains how it analyzes that so I'm not really sure what it means...

I max out at 9 Minutes of snoring per night. Do you have a different App you can recommend which will give better insight to how it analyzes the sleep quality? The advice module sounds nice!

The glasses sound interesting! I'll google into that!

@diegovincent Yes that's why I'm embarrassed to tell my Doctor (@starer93)

@MrCSharp I started eliminating every little light source (even Monitor LEDs) when I go to sleep but it didn't really affect anything unfortunately :/

@HIGHphen I do that a very lot! At least the Sports, my nutrition could be enhanced indeed though!

@c3ypt1c My pillows are crap. That's a good point. I often just leave them away and sleep on my matress (which is super soft).. Do you think it makes a difference?
  • 1
@HIGHphen I do that every night! I also installed a fan recently because we're experiencing a heat wave like never before. I think the fan is actually counterproductive considering the headache though...

@devpit seems like you do nothing wrong - maybe it's just the heat then. experiencing some minor physical health problems because of that, too

@HIGHphen @c3ypt1c Hmm actually the pillows might be an issue I never considered! I've been trying to improve my sleep forever but changing pillows is the only thing I never actually tried.

I had nonstop headaches for 2 weeks, and after some blood testing I got diagnosed with a Hashimoto. Get your thyroid values checked.
Could also be a vitamin deficiency. In my case it was Vitamin D.

@devpit i have a fitbit and it's sleep anlysis. Can recommend or something similar with additional sensors not just the phone. The FitBit also measures the pulse and stuff.

Asking devs instead of a doctor ? What ?

@devpit I often gout headaches when sleeping without pillow or flat bed, also I've tried staying in a closed room with only door gap for weekend and my head hurts so much, I guess low oxygen could be the problem too

Hi @Marnsghol :) I Thought there's other people having the same issues after sitting in front of a computer screen all day and therefore know some tricks. Sorry if that killed your flow!

@hasu Damn I didn't know FitBit has sleep analysis, I'll look into it! Thanks!

@devTea Can't be low oxygen but I'm googling pillows now haha
