    And that's why I keep getting job posts for PHP positions after I worked almost entirely on Android.

    I have yet to meet a recruiter who isn't a self-serving, lying cunt with next to no knowledge about development anyway.

    Even if that logic was applicable for every developer or programmer, you'd still have to learn the language(s) and it's almost never lucrative for employers to teach you and pay you for learning first, and have you actually be productive for them second.

    Also, as long as you're just learning you're even more easily replaceable which is a disadvantage, and it's not that programming languages are learned in a few days until you're worth your salt using them.

    Recruiters doesn't care, of course, as long as they get their bonuses.
