I really need a new laptop. Wondering what one I should get any suggestions anyone?

I recently got a new Laptop it was Between the Dell XPS and Microsoft Surface Book. I went with the book and was very happy.

depends on your work load.
my school work load is mainly dependant on ssh, so I don't need THAT many resources to do school work (I could do it on a rpi) so I use a chromebook c11 for that.
But I'm thinking of getting a Thinkpad now for my more demanding dev work. I feel like they have a higher build quality and can boot Linux pretty easily.
so then out.

I don't think a chromebook would really get the job done. I'll have to look a little more into them but I don't think I'd get one of those @UltimaQ
