Me: "Hey siri, set a timer for 6 minutes"

Siri (OSX): "I can't set timers here. Would you like a reminder instead?"

    How about
    JUST USING THE TIMER IN THE CLOCK APP

    assuming that's at least similar to Android's.

    @filthyranter Your right it's easier to just set in a clock app like on android, it just so happend that my phone was charging and I was too lazy to get up to set the timer. Regardless though, there is a clock app on iOS so why apple couldn't be bothered to include a similar application on OSX or even just on Siri is beyond me. Apple works in mysterious ways I guess...

    Edit - Do you mean the IOS clock app?

    @NullBitMe yeah I meant that

    Dude

    You know you're a millennial when your rant is about how an artificial entity couldn't understand what you meant when you asked it to do something

    .. And your rant is serious

    @filthyranter I'm actually android all the way. The only apple product I own is my mac. Sorry, should have clarified that my phone is not an iPhone.
