Is this a philosophy class or a CS class?

Was this piece of wisdom delivered in the form of a meme?

This reads like an attempt at sounding wise that ends up falling flat on its face. It would probably make more sense if it were actually true.

Corruption is a form of purposeful degradation, either as in fraudulent conduct or debasement of state.

It used to be common to say "the grain harvest is corrupted" (spoiled, rotten) and "As he got older, the sculptor's back became corrupted from carrying marble". But now we mainly use it for data and politicians.
