Actually, we did something similar for these years festivals.
We have got 3 UE Megaboom's total and these can absolutely rock, however we missed some bass.
These things can push some air, but have almost no room to resonate (?), so we put one in a box with some cushions.
That thing did indeed created some bass you could feel.
The cool thing is that you can pair the three speakers and they would play the same, so we go ourselves 2 outside speakers and one "subwoofer",that helped with the missing highs from the box
