What's with this scroll bar? I like the changing size of the bar as it scrolls faster, is there a name for this type of scroll animation?

It's not about speed, but the height of displayed comments / rants.

@TheOct0 would I be correct in saying something like:

barHeight = Σ (rant * rantHeight) for all rants that are in viewport / Σ (rant * rantHeight) for all rants

If it's like an iOS table view, you give it an estimated cell height and it adjusts based on what's rendered since it's not rendering the whole table.

@woodworks I would go with another approach. It feels like the two ends of the scroll indicator are separate, and that the scroll bar is divided in as many equal segments as there are elements. If the bottom of your screen goes through a long comment while the top goes through short ones, the latter is going to appear to move more rapidly, thus shortening the scroll indicator. That's my theory.
