LLAMS37488yMakes it seem like something in iTunes has a dependency on something in Xcode. so if you had iTunes open and changed the thing in Xcode, iTunes would break/crash because that dependency is now invalid. Not that i would notice if iTunes crashed 🙄

It's because Xcode changes the thingybob for accessing your iPhone which iTunes already uses, in order to build to your device.
(at least, that's the excuse I've heard).
And no, iTunes works wonderfully on OS X I find. It's not *too* bad on Windows now mind. Used to be an absolute pile of dogs arse.
