Yeah, that's actually the solution I had to choose because apparently a beefy MacbookPro from 5 years ago is not good enough for Xcode.

A beefy MacbookPro less than 1 year old is good enough for current Xcode, but who knows for how long?

I feel sad for people stuck with Xcode on an older Mac. This is hell.
