Joys of living in Switzerland:

We have four fucking national languages (english not included), with around 20 dialects of swiss german, most of us only know their origin language, yet stupid companies think we only speak one and assume it's fine to just send their filth in a language we may not understand.

Filter IPs and don't send your shit to regions that don't talk the language, or go and pay some translators (yes, they're expensive, but hey, you chose to sell/promote in Switzerland, deal with the fucking it). We are lazy and uninterested in your shit, so open your wallet if you want to reach us.

And it's not like I can't speak German, I'm just pissed for this inconsideration.

Ffs.

    Mon travail de graphiste serrait plus facile si nous seulement voudrait parle allemand en suisse.

    Fast alles was was ich an ducksachen gestallte muss ich dreispachig machen.

    Fortunatamente, c'è il traduttore "DeepL". Sta facendo un ottimo lavoro.

    www.deepl.com

    My profession as graphic designer would be much easier if we only would talk german in switzerland. Because having to design print stuff in 3 languages everytime is time consuming. Luckily there is DeepL which does a great job translating.
    But after all it's a charming fact. And I'm glad it's not like in Belgium where the french and flemish speaking population hates each other.

    @Floydian hahaha wunderbar!

    @NoMad Oh, fuck! Who am I to complain now hahaha

    @Mizz141 jo isch guet! käsch mi de Link senden oder? :D

    @heyheni AH! THIS! Like on food you buy in stores

    But I get your point... also we french-swiss are not very friendly towards germanism for some reason (I exclude myself, as I like Schwyzertütsch :D) whereas swissgermans are more open and make more efforts, as I see it...

    @heyheni also, although unclear, I was referring to non-swiss websites which usually have a "switzerland" entry... which is in german :D

    @heyheni Lorem ipsum dolor sit!
  • 2
    @Sefie lol 😆
    sorry I don't speak latin I guess neither do you? That's why you never should use lorem ipsum or blind copy. Every language has it's own ductus and appearance. If you must, go to wikipedia and hit that random article button a few times and copy it into your layout.

    @NoMad If you are in Australia and you get a call in Mandarin, I guarantee you it's a scam call (targeting rich-ass Chinese which I am without the rich-ass bit)

    @theKarlisK I'm saying I don't even have the ass
  • 0
    @NoMad scammers are Chinese too. They don't target other ethnic groups at all. The same scammers also target Chinese from all over the world. And most importantly, you have to be a Chinese to actually fall for their trick. It's not about language... I'm saying if you're a foreigner and you can speak Chinese, you're fine.

    Yeah we just hate each other so much I guess.

    @heyheni I learned Latin in school and can tell you "Lorum Ipsum sit dolor amet" is not a valid sentence, half of the words don't even exist. ^^
