!dev, very !rant

Going to Romania tomorrow and the next day will finally meet my girlfriend's parents (she's from there). More nervous than I expected to be about a (hopefully) simple thing.

    Don't go out after dark and always have a UV light torch with you (works better than garlic).

    @creeperjack your girlfriend is most likely a hottie, that region is famous for them 😁

    That was meant as a compliment, don't take it wrong

    @wannabee πŸ˜… thanks

    @creeperjack but where are you from, if i may ask? Is your culture very different from ours? Or are you just nervous/excited about meeting her parents?

    I'm not an expert in the Moldova region (the romanian region, not the neighboring republic) but i have no doubts your newly found "relatives" will be able to show you some niceties of our country.

    I'll drink to you, have a safe and pleasant trip

    @wannabee UK, she studies there so it's not too different. I have a close friend from Ukraine and visited a few years ago so I am somewhat initiated into eastern European ways.

    Thanks, if I wasn't saving this whiskey for her father I'd do the same πŸ˜‚

    @creeperjack i urge you to try some good homemade plums Brandy (we call it țuică, your girlfriend should've mentioned it). It's like our national drink, i wouldn't trade a single sip of it for a ton of the commercial poison that they sell as whiskey in most of our stores. Anyway, that's what makes the world spin for the "commoners" here, totally recommend it if you're into spirits. I can only hope you'll find someone who knows how to make it, I've tasted some pisswasser of a Brandy myself, urgh

    @thatgirl i thought they're already famous worldwide πŸ˜‚, i don't know if he'll enjoy them as much as we do, but he should at least try them 😁

    @creeperjack I'm so glad you liked it! Noroc (EN: Cheers)! Now eat well (from the romanian cuisine, naturally) and, if time allows it, it'd be great if you'd also visit some nice places (either populated or wild), hopefully you'll turn into our ambassador and cut into that yucky prejudice that we are a country of thieves and (bad kind of) gypsies. Not that there aren't any, but which country doesn't?

    Eh, i got carried away, enjoy your stay to the fullest 🍻πŸ₯ƒβ˜•
