Damn I'm pretty hard hitting my limits here

My company asked me if I would like to work some extra hours because otherwise they don't make all the deadlines

But damnit asking 10+ hours a day from a junior web developer is quite a lot

😒 Especially if it's an old legacy project where I have to work on...

    I'd be charging twice or more of the managers income (or whoever made the decision) to make it painful and a lesson in better future management, if they agree to those terms, else they can try me.

    My health is worth myself more than somebody's ass infront of foreign management that they fucked up with poor communication and management anyway.

    Watch the train crash, burn and change train.

    If management cant set realistic deadlines.
    That’s on them.
    Don’t bust your ass for their mistakes.

    They will either start having missed deadlines or start giving more time to complete things.

    Hmm yeah I think I'm gonna aks for a better salary... I'm also approaching to move up from junior to medior... to be honest I'm working Like a medior for quite a while now, but I still do not have the title or the salary So why not give it a go... Right?

    Any tips for me ? 😅

    @jeeper what is high?
    Of course this is different in every country.. (unless you're Dutch) could you explain your thinking process when determining how much salary you should earn?

    Or do you mean ask high and they will counter with something and take that?

    @incognito yea. In the US rule of thumb is to ask 10k per year higher than you think you’ll get. So you are at 70k you want 80k so ask 90k and you should end up at least at at the 80k. But if you ask 80 they will try to get you at 75
