I would like to see it darker, but more like "extremely dark gray" not actually black.

Various themes are certainly doable, but it adds more work for us everytime we add a feature, more things to check to make sure it looks right everywhere. Also we're trying to keep a branded theme, so other elements don't clash. So it might happen, but probably not soon.
