Got tipsy last night, hungry, saw that some of the pots I needed still needed to be washed, yada yada. Noticed that the lid of the fucking pot got broken. ... PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE AGAIN?!!! 😠

Noticed some schmoo in there (wtf is that doing in there?!), cut that out and decided to try again.. still no good, the damn handle just falls right off. Super glue to the rescue, because YOU FUCKING POT AREN'T ALLOWED TO DIE JUST YET, MOTHERFUCKER!!! 😤

So after a while of cursing, shouting in rage and repairing something for once instead of sending it in a low earth orbit, I got it back together. With the white schmoo that must've been super glue earlier as well. To fix the shit that those Swedish IKEA fuckers couldn't possibly get right!!! I don't give a shit about getting inside of a fucking lid for a cooking pot (other than for having to build the goddamn thing, wtf yo) so feel fucking free to close the damn thing down to make it last! That's where it should be closed down, unlike in fucking consumer electronics where it shouldn't!!! HOW FUCKING DIFFICULT CAN IT BE, CORPORATE AIRHEADS???!!!! 😡

... As such I vocally ranted last night in my home. Some neighbor passed by as I was raging, and he probably thinks that I've got anger issues (guess why... 😑). But I have no idea how to explain it to my neighbors, or whether I even should. Any suggestions?

Anything Ikea for the kitchen that isn't cutlery or furniture is falling apart second by second, learned it the hard way having boiling water splashing onto my feet.

@JoshBent 😮 how is something that hazardous even legal to put on the market?! Cooking pots with cooking water in it just crapping out like that.. I'm pretty sure that you could sue them for that!

@Condor Was years ago when they still had those shitty plastic handles, I think that's why there's none anymore (at least I couldn't find them anymore all the recent times I've went to IKEA)

@Condor: Maybe you like letting your anger out instead of keeping it in you and getting anger issues over time. As long as you refrain from keeping a big sharp knife while you vocalizing your frustration, I say you should give zero fucks. Think that you have one less neighbour who might ask you for tech support in the future. 😉

@Qaldim oh, never knives or anything like that.. I'm mostly a big barker that doesn't bite even when I'm enraged 😅 as for tech support.. if only that was the case! The craptop from my previous rant is for that particular neighbor 😩

@Condor Well, one more reason not to worry about! The chances of him coming back are less now! 😂
Bonus points if you are stocky and hairy: You'd look like someone wouldn't want to mess with.

@Condor any update on the craptop? e.g. checked out tinycore?

@JoshBent I haven't really looked much at it yet.. it's kind of a pain to work something into 500MB RAM really. Even the idea of using something like that while even a Raspberry Pi has twice the specs boggles my mind :/

Buy better pots...and some better pot

@Condor tbh 512MB was a luxury some time ago and my raspberry pi also has just that :P
