    I'm real positive about "new comers", Brave and Vivaldi. Maybe they can do some good in browser area.

    @DanijelH vivaldi is still glitchy and consumes more than chrome.

    Brave is a no-no politics wise for me, at some point they were inyecting ars iver the ads they blocked to make some money.
    Their crypto coin shit is not working either.

    Resources wise, I haven't check it out.

    @eeee nope, in total. And anyways most the time it's not Chrome's fault that it takes up so much memory, it's the website and extensions.

    Also, to me, even through it shows that it takes up so much memory it never feels like it slows down my PC

    Not used RAM is wasted RAM. Stop complaining

    @AI-Overlord stop with this bullshit, this makes sense when you're talking about the OS because it can manage the RAM... But let's say that you have 8gb of ram and chromes is using 6gb...now you want to convert a video or render some 3d stuff, have fun!

    @dontbeevil if you want to render a video and you have 8gb of ram, close the damned browser and get back to work.

    @mundo03 it was just an example, I have 16gb, I use another browser, and I have plenty of RAM to use lot of heavy SW at same time (including browsing) that I couldn't do with chrome open

    @dontbeevil then don't complain.
    Good hardware is the answer to everything, even to okish software
