I think the avoid that to remain higher in search engine results longer.

That's why I use Google search's tools and define how old an article should be for display.

But it says there’s a markdown for the tutorial on GitHub and if you click the link the last commit was three years ago ...

I hate reading an article without a date!! Completely agree with this rant!
