tosensei903618hbecause that would require huge amounts of memory for no significant gain.
it's the same reason why no sane person stores their photos as bitmap anymore. -
BordedDev199513hI have short-term memory issues (according to my docs) so I have a very good memory ironically since it all has to go to mid/long just don't tell me something when I'm not paying attention - yes even if I respond I won't remember
-
Memory is not like a video camera. The brain stores memories very abstractly and when you recall things, the brain reconstructs the memory on demand and fills in the blanks automatically. Which is why it‘s so unreliable.
Exact memory wasn’t evolutionary necessary. -
@Lensflare ye they probably get re arranged, the neurons
and then you gotta reconnect them again and then it might have interference cuz stuff moved around cuz biological
misremembering things to be in your best benefit would be evolutionarily beneficial though and in psychological studies people's heuristical and decision-making always is doing this. in scientific minds crystal clear memory would be beneficial -- like math, physics. and I do see they have much better memories. I had accounted for cognitive biases years ago tho cuz raised by science minds maybe... but since getting sick I don't have the strength to do it anymore and my suggestibility is through the roof as well. sucks. -
