Haha thats nothing compared to SAP hybris sales:
Sales: hybris has everything built-in, you can have your ecommerce shop in 6 months tops. From PIM to export/import interfaces + data migrations. 5-10 devs
We basically just have to do cosmetic stuff ...
Customer: woow awesome if u can also give zs some discount, 1mio license is ... alot
Sales: sure, you can have it for 400k but then u habe to host it in our super dooper awesome SAP cloud
Customer: deal

Devs: ok 2-3 monts to configure/fix the accelerator (prototype storefront) to not make it look like a pre2000 website
3 monts to try to make the customers requirements fit into the default hybris way

1year later: golive in 1 month ok what SAP deployment didnt work because of HANA db issues? Hybris is slow bc of hana? Sap devs need 2days to deploy PROD? In the meantime its offline? Why does it work on our nightly system (using mysql) 3-times as fast? Oh its a bug in sap jdbc? How long to fix? ......ä issue still open months later

They might have told the truth, with ten devs it might be possible
