Sometimes I sit and wonder if macOS will ever get to version 11.

    Well if the iPhone can't get past 10 I don't think so

    Actually they dropped the, "OSX" moniker a year or two ago.

    @bahua It’s still version 10 if you check the about box.

    Sure, but they stopped marketing it as OSX. Now they call it macOS 10.13.

    ...or 14, or wherever they are.

    @bahua I never called it OS X. You’re complaining about a tag.

    @devios1

    I'm not actually complaining about anything. Just pointing out that OSX is not a term they use anymore.

    @bahua I’m glad we cleared that up.

    I think they r working on merging iOS and macOS. Thats the reason they rebranded OS X to macOS although they had rebranded it from MacOS X (X=10) a couple of years earlier.
    The 11 might be the ne unified OS

    @mojo2012 Except that iOS is already at version 12.

    @devios1 I meant the macos version 11, whatever it will be called then

    @mojo2012 Maybe. I mean they are running the same core OS (Darwin) as far as I understand and certainly the languages are the same for both so it could happen. As I recall Apple has also introduced some mechanism to actually run iOS apps in macOS, so that would indeed seem the direction they are heading.
