retoor93675hAh well, insurance in general. If you want to insure your house against fire, it first have to be made fire proof and then you can insure it. So, you basically paid them to follow their rules and very most likely will not use their service. Had a discussion with my dad why the new fireplace had no wood surrounding like previous one. Well, insurance. So now you can't have the fireplace you want and probably due rules insurance is worthless. He said "it just works like that" and I was like aaaaarghhh. Insure the car against accidents but remove the wheels.

In case of a meteor strike, I guess.

@retoor Yup insurance is just gambling IMO, and like with all gambling the house wins

insurance doesn't mathematically make sense and government requiring it of you is fascism
insurance is the dumbest thing you can invest in and you're always better off using your own money instead
but instead government dictators says you have to pay into the insurance scam, and that's where all the trouble begins -
kiki377324h@jestdotty government is a subscription service that protects you against the wilderness. if you want protection, pay up. if you don't want to pay, fuck off into your closest terra nulla.

@kiki racket
they were meant to have monopoly on violence, not threaten violence on you for innocuous things -
lastNick5623h@jestdotty Healthcare is also just an insurance so you may also invest just your own money.
-
@lastNick what would've been great is not getting vaccine damaged by "mandatory free vaccines". now I've had like 5 MRIs. I'm sure I cost the taxpayers more money than I've ever made in my life now, much less have paid into taxes
-
also a 70$ vaccine shot the government bought cost me 3000$ in supplements to not die after cuz the healthcare system refused to acknowledge what had happened to me
I also took 4 ambulances and one of the doctors decided that it wasn't for a good reason so I had to pay another 200$. I'm sure the other ambulance trips cost some to taxpayers also, and all the nurses, blood tests, and the 7 or so doctors that eventually checked me out when I didn't even ask to be put in the hospital recently but because I asked for the asylum they decided I had a physical problem. though when I came in for a physical problem they decided I needed an asylum
you know what I would've liked? if I paid the doctors they would actually be working for me instead of globalists that want to torture everyone to death. what kind of system does the opposite of what you want? government seems to do this as a stable characteristic of its personality. it's rotten and disgusting.
There is nothing easier than running an insurance company in the US of A. When a big request comes in from a client in distress that got into a terrible accident that is definitely covered by their (very expensive) plan, you just go to the data bank like Equifax and see if they're still rich enough to win a lawsuit against you should you refuse to pay.
For those of you who don't know what a data bank is: data banks are companies that buy/scrape/suck in every last bit of data they can about every person in the country, and then resell it through their fancy UI with all the convenient features and metrics.
So, Umbrella Insurance Co. goes to Equifax and asks whether Joe Schmoe's accident is severe and life-ruining enough that they won't be able to sue us. Exuifax says: let's see... Joe's Revolut©™ account has the grand total of $80.12, with $7,382.25 recently spent on medical bills. Joe's WhatsApp©™ (a Meta©™ company) classifies their recent messages as "desperate". Joe's iPhone©™ Screen Time©™ is increased, and Joe is doomscrolling a lot, especially on The Washington Post©™ (a Jeff Bezos company). All signs show that if you don't pay them, they won't be able to out-sue you. That would be $0.12, thanks!
As a person who is no one in particular that may or may not have been a US of A's supreme court judge once said, "sometimes it's not about justice, but about making the sucker spend all their money".
