I’m terrified of the Mac Os Mojave update - the last 3 updates have “black screen of death-ed” my computer. Please tell me everything is going to be alright....

Unless you're forced to work with a mac I just don't get the appeal...sure some simple stuff is intuitive but the same can be said for Windows... And when you get into more advanced stuff, mac is a headache, at least that is what I've found. And even some simple shit is frustratingly unintuitive...

In Mojave you can have a black screen of life --> the Dark Theme!

That's the exact reason I'm getting a new work laptop. I tried to update from El Capitan to Mojave.

It is possible it will solve the ACPI errors that have been going around since Sierra. It is fucking ridiculous that apple didn't fix it

Same happened with a guy at my office. Now, he has to work on windows for a while.

@hexc macOS is basically a (U)Nix system with a great and working user interface, no driver issues like on Linux and the Mac itself has an amazing (imo the best) build quality and an even more amazing battery life. That's why I'm using a MacBook.

@finiteAutomaton I'm a developer not a sales guy or something like that. That's just the reason why I prefere a MacBook.

@wholl0p Sorry, it sounded like that with words like "amazing"

@finiteAutomaton That's because the battery life in fact is amazing compared to every notebook running Linux (unfortunately)
