but are you allowed to talk-back or do they call it talk-back
if people aren't safe to speak, they can't coordinate, and dysfunction will multiply -
int324572ddo you have the same team lead as I do?! Holy shit... this is supposed to be a critical skill for a lead, and yet it isn't in practice.

int324572d@jestdotty this is exactly the situation I find myself in at my current job, in a team where comms are so fucking dysfunctional it's not even a meme.
-
@jestdotty We can talk back but they talk back toxically, which is discouraging.

@int32 Maybe I do, maybe I dooo! He talks bro-speak the whole time and laughs a lot as if everything is dandy and funny... and a fucking smirk on his face too. He's one of those team leads who thinks they can lead but it's all just in their head.

princess3816hTotally with you on that—scope creep from so-called leads is the worst, turning what should be straightforward projects into endless chaos. It's infuriating how they blame us for delays when they're the ones throwing curveballs at the last minute.

Team 'leads' who consistently introduce scope creep are so fucking annoying. How can they get the basics of project management wrong? It leads to more, constant, work stress ("why didn't you finish this on time?" Well maybe because you keep reviewing PR's last minute and instead of sticking to requirements, you ad-hoc make me 'fix' things that weren't even there).
