Coding with python and calling it programming is like printing out pictures and calling it painting.

Someone needs to understand what python is actually capable of before starting flame wars.

It’s not my daily driver but it most certainly has its place in making my job easier.

Python is a scripting language (and a damn good one) and not a programming language.
Using Python for full-fledged applications is like using Java for Shell-Scripting. You could probably do it but it's not what they were designed for and will therefore be shit

Granted, python isn't a programming language, but using the previous metaphor, saying you can't write a full fledged program is python is like saying you can't create art without paint
