If you’re in IT and expect things to just work for you, then you’re going to have a bad time.

When you rant about some OS, distro, plug-in, framework etc not working for you, you’re basically just bitching about a problem you’ve not been able to solve.

This is the life you’ve chosen. Stop crying and find the solution.

But rant we do nonetheless. Here or on our own.

Lol, if everything "just" worked then why would I rant? Of course I'll rant about it when I've tried fixes and keep getting errors until we get it right. Who rants about things that "just" works? Is there even a thing that "just" works every time?

IT is just an all encompassing catch phrase and not everyone specializes in break/fix or proactive repairs. Not everyone has deep OS knowledge or fixes everyone's computers.

Some just want it to work and when it doesn't that merits a rant.

Others rant about people ranting and some rant about those people...turtles all the way down!
