In the end, as you rightly summarized, those poor people are sitting ducks (facing heat from customers), whereas the management or the product team that is responsible for such issues stay away and barely do the due diligence required -
My advise would be to leave GoDaddy, aside from shitty support, why would you keep being a customer of a company that would revoke their service for not liking your site? i.e Gab

@JKyll yeah I've just taken back my GoDaddy account to get access to a couple of .co.uk I bought before which can be difficult to reclaim later, and I'm moving the whole lot to cloudfare
