@wowotek cython has a lot of issues regarding dependencies. If you really want speed just write a c/c++ code and use dll in python for interfacing. Win win

@ElizadeathRaven iirc py2exe only packs the python VM and the script and all dependencies into an executable, without actually compiling them. upon running the executable, it unpacks everything to a temp binary and runs it

Maybe it’s just because I don’t work with Python, but I thought all compilers converted to machine language. I take it that’s not the case?
