Fuck auto translations. YouTube, Reddit (that has TWO layers of auto translation), Google, Chrome (that for some fucking reason doesn't understand "NEVER translate...")...
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a11y, but LET ME OPT OUT.

same, it really just ticks me off when companies refuse to implement an opt-out feature (especially with things like 2fa!!!). it's perfectly fine as an optional feature, but i'm pretty sure none of us want it shoved down our throats.

    A thousand time this!!

The only way to prevent them from automatically translate english to your native language is to select english as your native language. But then they will translate your native language to english as well!

I want you to leave the fucking language as it is, not touched by your shitty autotranslate!!!

Why is this too much to ask?!

@Lensflare I had to do a double take a couple of days back, I did an english search (from my south african account aka english) and it came up with a "dutch" result. I open the page and it's in fucking english

@BordedDev This happens to me on YouTube every so often. Either that or also that I open a video by a YouTuber I know and suddenly the voice is in Spanish?? Shut up!!

Adding Instagram to the fucking list. It started showing me videos from all around the world in my language, with voices and text translated.
It is a very good idea, but I hate software being forced on me (even more if it's unwanted AI), soo disabled.
