ajit55518886y@kindacoder cool, so around 2 kids per laptop, good to introduce pair programming so early :)
-
manbir31486y@ajit555 um.. around 5 kids per laptop. 9 instructors, about 100 kids, completed in 2 sessions.

@ajit555 the Soviet army in WW2 had two soldiers per rifle, reasoning that by the time they would be in range for the Germans, that would be down to one soldier per rifle.

ajit55518886y@kindacoder wow, real good job guys, per person handling 10 kids for two hours on a couple of machines !

No. Don't teach the kids how to code and don't program them. Teach them literature and arts.
-
manbir31486yWe didn't teach them to code actually. We taught them logic building. And that's what most schools don't teach.

faptain7616y@arunkumar413 oh come on what's the problem?
Which School really teaches logic or programming?
Every kid is either learning Singing, dancing or karate or some other bs. Everyone kid is the next indian idol or dance Shit champ. They taught them something different, something of value. They helped in inducing a spark. Every kid these days is "consuming" on tech. They should know how it works too. -
lonelydev546y@arunkumar413 i see the sarcasm.. He means already web designers are learning to code. Thanks to js

To be able to learn, is an opportunity. To be able to teach, is a privilege.
Cheers to another successful iteration of The #HourOfCode, by Team ACM BVP in association with Code.org. It was amazing teaching the students of 5th standard the basics of programming and logic building, and quite surprising to see how quickly they were able to grasp the concepts!
